Shelly James describes herself as a Lumenologist and she is both an artist working with glass and light, and an advocate for understanding how the lighting in our homes can have a profound effect upon our mental well being, a subject she presented in a TEDx talk, April 2022. Brian Sutton (King's College London) is a Professor of Molecular Biophysics, trained in X-ray crystallography. They gave a delightful talk on their mathematical outreach activities which (thanks to some frantic last minute laser cutting to produce solid wooden tiles) had provided some terrific physical tiling challenges for the school pupils attending the Aperiodic Tiling art exhibition.
