Michael Coons (Universität Bielefeld) presented a preview of a soon to be published paper, written with Michael Baake, containing asymptotic results on various means and general recursions. In an energetic manner he pointed out the subtlety of several of the steps that had to be navigated to produce one particular proof, deceptively short in length, but of great ingenuity.
