The final HatFest speaker was Lorenzo Sadun, who wanted to conclude the event with a return of focus upon not just the Hat tile, but the family of tilings of which the Hat is just one member. This was a masterful lecture delivered with style and panache. There was depth to exploring why the way forward was as it was, and a sense conveyed of deep understanding. A video of the talk is available, as is the paper to which the talk led. The recording could be worked through systematically, learning much in the process. In short, a strong finale to a day of intense concentration.
