~ Periodicity of joint co-tiles in Z^d  ~

Shrey Sanadhya's talk picked up on the refutation of Newman's Periodic Tiling Conjecture presented by the previous speaker, Rachel Greenfeld. His motivating question had been, “Was there an adjusted version of Newman's conjecture that held true in higher dimensions ?”. This talk presented a paper by Shrey, co-authored with Tom Meyerovitch and Yaar Solomon that formulated new necessary and sufficient conditions for a subset of Z^d to tile periodically.
