~ An Artistic Greeting ~
The 4th meeting of The Grimm Network took place at The University of Leeds on Monday 16th September. I was one of twenty mathematicians from across the UK heading to a workshop on “all things aperiodic” on a glorious late summer day. Arriving by train early, there was time to wander to the Leeds United football ground to buy my youngest daughter a supporters' scarf. The city had a playful feel to it; walking past several sculptures made from scrapped old pianos, such as the one pictured, was a joyful welcome.
